Isengrin's Diamond Throne
Coyote, the fickle and unpredictable Deva of trickery, deception, and lightheartedness, is the most written-about Deva of all in the original accounts due to the many escapades, adventures, and pranks he is said to have been involved in. Thus, he has been most useful to historians and theologians who are attempting to gather information about the qualities and capabilities that the Devas apparently possessed. Throughout the original accounts, Coyote has had a great enmity with Isengrin. Coyote’s physical appearance resembles that of a coyote (and, in fact, the animal was named after him), but his coat of fur is said to shift colors and patterns constantly, sometimes even forming images. Some have claimed that the images that Coyote’s pelt depicted were, in fact, prophecies, some of which have not yet come to pass.
